On the occasion of the visit conducted to Costa Rica, at the end of October of the 2007, on
the part of representatives of the Circle and four groups of giant puppets (La Llacuna, Poboleda,
Riudoms and Vallgorguina), this Organization received two giants like flattery (“La Chapetona”, on
the part of the group “Los Chapetones” of Barva de Heredia, and “el Diablo”, on the part of the
Escuela Universitaria de Cartago) besides a bigheaded one.
But “the giant” relations between our country and Costa Rica have not concluded with this
visit and these flatteries since throughout the next years you will take place different visits
from groups of Costa Rica towards our country, and also to the inverse one
For that reason from the Circle, in collaboration with the groups of giant puppets that made
that one first trip and the friendly of that one country, we have programmed in our country, and
throughout the next years, a series of activities between both countries, and in each of them will
be protagonist one of these localities.
It is then against this background as it is realised in Vallgorguina first of these
activities, and that not is other than presentation of three figures given in Costa Rica, which
constitute like the first giant puppets of the CIAG (and therefore symbols of our Organization) and
the bigheaded one that will accompany to the “Enano Cabezón” that gave the year 2005 our friendly
of the “Asociación Folklórica “Viva Leon Jodido””, of Leon (Nicaragua) during the visit which we
carried out to that one country.
Jointly the Geganters de Vallgorguina and the CIAG we have programmed for this day a series of
acts that we hoped are of your interest and for which we have the fortune to count on the company
of groups of giant puppets come from different places that will help us has to make but the
celebration great.
